FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's basketball demonstrated an outstanding first-half performance, shooting at an impressive 75% from the field, 77.8% from three-point range, and maintaining a solid 90% accuracy from the charity stripe. This exceptional efficiency paved the way for an 85-76 victory over the Miles College Golden Bears.

Brandon Hill led Kentucky State with 24 points and also leading the Thorobreds with five assists.
Ogien Ayo showcased remarkable accuracy, sinking all six free throws (100%) and contributing seven successful field goals, amassing a total of 23 points. His stellar performance extended beyond scoring, as he secured 11 rebounds, earning a double-double.
The Thorobreds bounced back quickly from an early Miles lead by going on a 19-0 run early to lead 19-7 at 12:56 in the first half.
From the field the Thorobreds were hot making 10 of their last 11 shots from the field that included a layup from to extend the Kentucky State to 26-15 lead at the 10:48 of the first half.

Ogien Ayo (4-of-4) and Hill (3-of-3).
Miles had late 6-0 surge to close on the 45-30 lead at the half.
Kentucky State controlled the second half and put the dagger in the Golden Bears going on a 6-0 run late in the second run. The Thorobreds went on to defeat Miles 76-85.
On Saturday, Jan. 27 the Thorobreds will head to Wilberforce, Ohio to take on rival Central State at 3 p.m.
