Micah Stangebye placed fifth last week in the 108
th Tennessee Amateur Championship golf tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Back-to-back bogies on holes 17 and 18 led to an opening round one-over-par 71.
In the second round, he finished the final three holes with two birdies, improving by one stroke with an even-par 70.
Stangebye continued to improve, marking 13 pars and two birdies to fire a one-under 70 and sit at even-par for the tournament heading into the final round.
Success continued into the final round, tallying nine pars and seven birdies to finish with a tournament low of 65 and five-under-par tournament finish.
