Men’s Golf Named GCAA Academic National Champions

NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has awarded the title of 2022-23 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Academic National Champions to the Kentucky State men's golf team.
 
Kentucky State excelled academically with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.62.  
 
The GCAA also named Sacred Heart (NCAA Division I), Florida Southern (NCAA Division II), Carleton (NCAA Division III), South Carolina Beaufort (NAIA), Andrew (NJCAA Division I), and South Mountain (NJCAA Division II) as Academic National Champions. 
 
Alongside earning GCAA HBCU National Academic National Champions, the Thorobreds led Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) to earn the 2022-23 SIAC All-Academic Team Award. Three student-athletes earned individual All-Academic Honors, Jean-Marc J. Chevrotiere, Wesley Potts, and Anthony Vascotto.
