FRANKFORT, Ky. – Head coach Mike Grugin and Kentucky State men's golf will begin their 2023 spring schedule at the Delta State Invitational in Cleveland, Mississippi, on March 14-15.
"I am returning my top five players from the fall and the addition of two international players [
Demar James and Maximiliano Dufey]. I expect great things from this team." Coach Grugin said.
During the winter break,
Micah Stangebye set the course record at Wild Turkey Trace with a score of 61.
Demar James and Maximiliano Dufey are joining the team with extensive international competition experience.
The Thorobreds will return to Kentucky and play in the Saginaw Valley Invitational at Kearney Hills in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 18-19.
Play will continue at the Southwest Klash in Kentucky from March 25-27 at the Perry Park Golf Resort in Perry Park, Kentucky.
Following the Klash in Kentucky, they will play in the Shorter Hawk Invitational at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Georgia, from April 2-4.
The 2023 SIAC Conference Championship will take place from April 17-19, with the location to be announced shortly.
