Kentucky State women's basketball will complete regular season play on the road at two SIAC opponents, opening the weekend at Spring College on Feb. 18 and ending at Tuskegee on Feb. 20.
The Thorobreds are currently on a three-game winning streak as they defeated Miles (73-67), Central State (83-79), and Asbury (69-55). Kentucky was led by
Laurie Thomas with 19 points, as her teammate,
Jasmine Elder, led with nine rebounds and 14 points.
The Spring Hill Badgers have lost nine straight and won two of three against SIAC opponents Benedict (76-73) and Lane (75-72). In their last matchup, they lost to non-conference opponent Loyola (La.) 96-47.
Tuskegee holds a perfect 18-0 record in SIAC play and has an overall record of 21-3. At home this season, they are 10-0 as Central State looks to snap their streak on Feb. 18. Ashiala Jackson leads the Golden Tigers averaging 14.9 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game.
