FRANKFORT, Ky. - Former Kentucky State standout
Kong Kong signed with the Oklahoma City Blue, the G-League affiliate to the National Basketball Association team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 6-6 signee averaged 10 points, five rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in his senior season with the Thorobreds. That same year, he totaled 36 blocks and 24 steals.
"We're extremely proud of Kong and his accomplishments up to this point in his career. This is only just the beginning for him. This is yet another sign that students can come to Kentucky State University and reach the highest of their goals, in any field," Head Coach Dr. Jamal Jackson said regarding the recent signing.
The Blue play their first game on Friday, November 3rd, when they visit the Texas Legends.
