Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – Women's Basketball defeats SIAC opponent Lane 76-65 Saturday afternoon in Jackson, Tennessee. 
 
Five Thorobreds scored in the double figures, Taleah Dilworth(16), Gracen Kerr(15), Hilani Cantone(12), and Sydney Thomas(10). 
 
Jasmine Elder led Kentucky State with six rebounds. S. Thomas tallied five steals. Cantone led her team with five assists and went 5-of-5 from the charity stripe. 
 
How It Happened
Lane went on an early 6-2 run before Hilani Cantone hit a three-pointer to give her team a 10-9 lead at 5:57 in the first quarter. 
 
The Thorobreds would jump ahead by five(16-11) on a layup by Dilworth. Lane would tie the game 16-16, but a last-second layup from Dilworth gave Kentucky State an 18-16 lead at the end of the first quarter. 
 
At the beginning of the second quarter, the Dragons tied the game at 18-18 and took a brief lead. Kerr made a three-pointer to tie the game 24-24 with 6:35 remaining in the quarter. 
 
Kentucky State held the lead briefly before a layup by Lane tied the game 26-26. Dilworth responded with a layup to regain the lead(28-26) at 5:06 in the second quarter. 
 
The Thorobreds scored six points to go into halftime with a 35-29 lead. 
 
Sydney Thomas made two free throws that ended the third quarter with a 56-45 Kentucky State lead. 
 
For a moment, the Dragons got to within five of the 60-55 Kentucky State lead. Dilworth would score twice on a pair of layups to secure a 76-65 victory.
