Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's volleyball defeats the Culver Stockton Wildcats 3-2 in home opener Saturday afternoon in Bell. 
 
Kade Andruski led the Thorobreds with 15 kills, while earning 22 assists. His teammate Jordan Howard earned 13 kills and Jamal Singleton earned 11. 
 
Javier Saldivar earned 27 of the team's 52 assists. Trent Findley led the Thorobreds by earning six of the eight blocks by Kentucky State.
 
 
How It Happened
Culver-Stockton led the first with four service aces and 13 kills to win the first set 25-18. 
 
In the second set the Thorobreds had four blocks and 12 kills to win the set 25-20. 
 
The third set was close as the scored tied five times with only a single lead change. Culver-Stockton was able to outlast the Thorobreds 25-17. 
 
After nine ties and four lead changes the Thorobreds would fend off the Wildcats 25-21 to win the set and force the fifth set. 
 
Kentucky State took control in the fifth with a 15-7 set win to secure a 3-2 match victory.
