JACKSON, Tenn. – A late 21-4 Kentucky State second-half run wasn't enough to overthrow the Lane College Dragons as they fell 85-76 Saturday evening in Jackson, Tennessee. 
 
Lane led the first half making 17 shots from the field, as the Thorobreds led the charity stripe making 12 of their 16 attempts. The Thorobreds outrebounded the Dragons 26-20 as Kong Kong, Tyson Brooks, and Shamon Mosley grabbed four rebounds each. Lane would end the first half with a 47-29 lead. 
 
Late in the second half, Kentucky State went on a 21-4 run to bring them to within six on a three-pointer by Aziel Blackwell. The Thorobreds bench outscored the Dragons bench 29-16, as 14 of the points were scored by Shamon Mosley. Even with Kentucky State outscoring Lane 47-38, that wasn't enough, as they fell 85-76. 
 
Mosley led the Thorobreds from the field, going 6-of-12 and 5-of-6 at the charity stripe to score 18 points. He also led his team with nine rebounds. 
 
Kong led his team with three steals and two blocks. 
 
Jay Murrell went 4-of-4 from the free-throw line to score 12 points while leading his team with two assists.
