FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky State men's volleyball team has announced their 2023 season schedule set to begin Friday, Jan. 13, at Maryville University.
The 2023 campaign will begin on the road in St. Louis, Missouri, at Maryville University on Jan. 13. They will travel to Rolla, Missouri, to play Missouri S&T on Jan. 14.
The following week they will compete at the Hiram Quad Match in Hiram, Ohio. On Friday, Jan. 20, they will play a single match against host Hiram College. Saturday, the 21st, they will continue to play Alderson Broaddus at 10 am and closeout play against Adrian College at 2 pm.
They will return to Kentucky to play Midway on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7 pm.
The Thorobreds will open their home schedule to Culver-Stockton College on Saturday, Jan. 28.
Following their home opener, the Thorobreds will travel to Thomas Moore on Jan. 3 and Campbellsville on Jan. 7. The road games will come to an at the Reinhardt University Tri-Match on Feb. 11.
Kentucky State will return home for a four-game homestead, beginning with Thomas Moore on Friday, Feb. 17, followed by a doubleheader with Reinhardt and Midway on Saturday, Feb. 18. The homestead will end on Feb. 23 to Maryville.
The Thorobreds will hit the road again for a trip to Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, Feb. 24.
SIAC play will initiate in Bell Gym Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1 pm versus Edward Waters and continue on Friday, Mar. to Morehouse College. The initial conference play will end versus Albany State Mar. 4.
The Thorobreds will be on the road again to Springfield, Ohio to compete in a Tri-Match Mar. 7, against Mount Vernon St. Nazarene, followed by host Wittenberg University.
Home matches will continue on Mar. 8 against Erskine College. The Thorobreds will play Benedict in a doubleheader on Mar. 11 back to back at 11 am and 1 pm.
Men's Volleyball will be on the road for the next five matches. Beginning in Wilberforce, Ohio, on Mar. 25 against rival opponent Central State. The team will travel to Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina on Mar. 31. The Thorobreds will then face SIAC opponent Edward Waters on Apr. 1 in Jacksonville, Florida. Ending their travel in Georgia at Fort Valley State on Apr. 7, followed by opponent Morehouse College in Atlanta on Apr. 8.
The Thorobreds regular season play and the final home match will end against a conference opponent and rival, Central State, on Apr. 14 at 7 pm.
