Laurie Thomas led the Thorobreds with 13 and
Gracen Kerr scored 11.
How It Happened
The first quarter had six lead changes and 12 ties, leaving both teams tied 16-16 at the end of the first.
Laurie Thomas would bring Kentucky State to within one (23-24) on a layup assisted by
Hilani Cantone at 2:25 in the second quarter. Cantone would make a layup at 1:49, closing the gap on the Dragons lead 26-25. The Dragons would take a 30-27 lead going into halftime.
Thomas made three of her four attempts from the field in the third quarter, but the Dragons held a 43-35 lead.
Both teams' low-scoring fourth quarter helped Lane secure a 56-50 victory.
