ATLANTA – HBCU All-Stars LLC has named
Kong Kong,
Jalon Andrews, and
Montrell Jacobs to the 2022-23 HBCU All-Stars Watch List, 24 of the best student-athletes from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, Tennessee State, Hampton, and North Carolina A&T.
Kong leads the nation shooting 63.6% from the three point line, alongside leading the SIAC from the field, shooting 62.5% from the field. He has scored 73 points, 29 rebounds, and eight blocks this season.
Andrews has started strong this season, ranking 11th nationally, averaging 7.8 defensive rebounds per game. He ranks 17th in the nation averaging 9.8 rebounds per game. This season he has two double-doubles and is averaging 14.8 points per game.
Jacobs has had a season-high of 23 points vs. Edward Waters and is averaging 13.20 points per game. He has eight assists and three steals so far this season.
The 2023 HBCU All-Star Game, a college basketball showcase highlighting the best HBCU players in the country, will be held at Texas Southern University H&PE Arena in Houston on Sunday, April 2, at 4:00 PM, ET.
The HBCU All-Star Game will air live on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream on Paramount+.
