ATLANTA, Ga. – Kentucky State's Hilani Cantone was named this week's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. 
 
Cantone tallied her first double-double of the season with 12 points and ten rebounds on the road at Benedict College (Dec. 5). 
 
The Thorobreds defeated Simmons of Kentucky 67-51 as Cantone led both teams with 20 points. 
 
Cantone and the Thorobreds will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 15, as they host SIAC opponent Fort Valley State at 5:30 p.m. inside the William Exum Center.
