LEBANON, Tenn. – Kentucky State men's volleyball secures first program win against Milligan University in a 3-0 sweep at the Cumberland Quad Match in Lebanon, Tennessee. 
 
Match 1 | vs Carolina University - Carolina wins 3-2, (CU 25-23, KSU 31-29, KSU 25-21,CU 25-20, CU 15-7)
In the first set both performed well with Carolina winning the first set narrowly 25-23. 
 
The Thorobreds outlasted the Bruins 31-29 in a lengthy second set, in the third set Kentucky State would win the set 25-21. 
 
Momentum would switch to Carolina in the fourth set as they would defeat the Thorobreds 25-20 and win the fifth set 15-7 and win the match 3-2. 
 
Match 1 Leaders
Jordan Howard would lead the Thorobreds with 12 kills and 12 digs, his teammate Jamal Gray would tally 11 digs. Kade Andruski would lead his team with 26 assists along with earning six kills. 
   
Match 2 | vs Milligan University - KSU wins 3-0, (KSU 25-10, KSU 25-23, KSU 25-15)
The Thorobreds opened the first set with intensity securing a 25-10 win. A kill by Montinas Peterson Jr. from Kade Andruski would give Kentucky State their first point of the match.  
 
An intense second set would come down to the final serves with Kentucky State taking the momentum and go on to win the set 25-23. 
 
Kentucky State would run away with the third and final set 25-15, the Thorobreds would secure eight of the last nine set points to earn their first win of the season and the first win in program history. 
 
 
 
Match 2 Leaders 
Jordan Howard would lead Kentucky State with 15.5 points while earning three assists and five digs. Jamal Gray led his team with seven digs and Andruski led with 20 serve assists.   
Match 3 | vs Cumberland University - Cumberland wins 3-0, (CU 25-17, CU 25-12, CU 25-10)
In the final match the Thorobreds would meet host Cumberland and in the opening set Cumberland would take a 25-17 first set win. 
 
Cumberland would continue their success in the second set with a 25-12 win and win the third and final set 25-10 to sweep Kentucky State 3-0.
