Women's Basketball Drops Road Contest to LeMoyne-Owen

Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – An intense fourth quarter gave LeMoyne-Owen a 53-49 victory against Kentucky State Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee. 
Gracen Kerr would tie the game 9-9 on a driving lay-up late in the first quarter (2:20). 

A long-range jumper by Taleah Dilworth gave Kentucky State a 12-9 lead in the final moments of the first quarter. 

The Thorobreds kept the Magicians scoreless for 5:40 in the first quarter, which pushed them to a 12-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. 
In the second quarter, Dilworth would go 3-of-4 from the field that gave Kentucky State a 23-20 lead going into halftime. 

A late third-quarter run would give the Magicians a 37-32 lead to end the third quarter. 

With 1:47 left in the fourth quarter, Andrea Wallace would make a clutch lay-up to tie the game 49-49. The Magicians would take the momentum for the remaining of the fourth and win the game 

Women's basketball will return to action on Monday, January 17th at Miles College, the contest is slated for 5:30 p.m.
