FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's basketball dropped their league contest 76-91 to Albany State, Monday Night from the Exum Center
How It Happened
Kong Kong would tie the game at 4-4 (18:19) in the first half after a quick fast-break lay-up.
In the early portion of the first half, Kong capitalized off of a turnover with a three to give Kentucky State an 8-7 (16:46) lead.
Kentucky State would go on their best scoring run of seven at the first half's midway point. Albany State rallied late in the second to take a 41-36 lead at the half.
A lay-up by Jalon Andrews would bring the Thorobreds to within three, allowing the rams just a 43-40 lead with 17:29 left in the second half.
Albany State would maintain control for the remainder of the second half and defeat the Thorobreds 91-76.
Numerous Thorobreds hit double figures, including Kong (15), Shamon Mosley (12), Elijah Lockhart (11), and Andrews (11). Andrews led the Thorobreds with eight rebounds.
