FORT VALLEY, Ga. – Kentucky State men's basketball rallied in the final moments of the second half to excel past Fort Valley State 76-72 on Saturday afternoon in Fort Valley, Georgia.
How It Happened
Kong Kong drove to the paint early to put the first pair of points on the board for the Thorobreds. Both teams picked up numerous fouls in the first that sent Kentucky State to the free-throw line 16 times and would capitalize on the opportunity making 13 of them. At the end of the first half, Fort Valley would lead 44-37.
Kentucky State would hold Fort Valley State to just five points and score 21 in the final 8:57 of the second half. Devonte McCloud led the run-scoring eight of those points, followed by his teammate
Montrell Jacobs who scored six points. This rally excelled the Thorobreds to a 76-72 victory.
