BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State women's basketball team drops exhibition contest 96-59 to Western Kentucky inside the E.A, Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
A rocky first half put the Thorobreds behind early, with the Hilltoppers taking a 56-20 lead after two.
Kentucky State would fight hard, returning from half outscoring Western Kentucky 27-20 in the fourth quarter. A solid fourth-quarter rally led the Thorobreds to securing 39 points, just one behind the Hilltoppers 40 second-half total.
The second half rally would not be enough to overcome Western Kentucky and drop the exhibition contest 96-59.
