Cross Country Competes at the Evansville Invite

EVANSVILLE, In. – The Kentucky State men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the University of Evansville Invite at Angel Mounds in Evansville, Indiana.
 
A pair of Thorobreds ran in women's 6k; Freshman Jaysha Bell ran a time of 40:21 her teammate Junior Hidejuha Kennedy completed the meet with a 40:55.
 
In the men's 8k, Ma'Rico Holland led his team with a swift time of 29:48. Freshman Camerie Cooper ran a 32.53; Junior Nigel Cochran finished with a 39:35, and sophomore Calvin Shannon rounded out his team with 45:48.
 
Both teams will travel to the 2021 SIAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship on Friday, October 22nd, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on the Winthrop Farm at the Winthrop Coliseum.
