Hampton, Wagner continue to rewrite records

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Kentucky State University track and field throwers continue to shatter school records as the Thorobreds matriculate through the indoor season with senior Anthony Hampton, Jr. and sophomore Amani Wagner rewriting the record books.

Hampton Jr. (Sumter, S.C.) broke the school record which he already owns with a mark of 14.62 meters in the weight throw, while Wagner (Yellow Springs, Ohio) set the weight throw mark on three different occasions during the meet, finalizing the record at 16.68 meters. She has improved over three meters from last season.

Garnett was third with a season-best time of 23.05. Greiving was fourth with the time of 23.07, while Cochran and Fields both placed eighth with identical times of 23.51. It was a season-best time for Fields.
