Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – Moments after sophomore Jah Bennett connected on a pair of free throws for a career-high 11 points, Lane ended any thoughts of overtime with a buzzer beater and the Kentucky State University men's basketball team fell, 74-72, Thursday in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

Senior Grant Goode led the way with 17 points, followed by senior Jordan Little (13 points, eight rebounds) and Bennett.

Kentucky State (9-16 overall, 6-12 SIAC) returns home 6 p.m. Saturday to face Central State in the regular-season finale.
