The Kentucky State University men's basketball team looks to improve their seeding for the upcoming Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The Thorobreds are currently fifth in the west division, a half-game behind LeMoyne-Owen and a half-game ahead of Lane and Spring Hill.
THAT 70'S SHOW:Â Kentucky State enters the game fifth in scoring offense with 74.6 points per game. The Thorobreds have reached the 100-point plateau twice this season, both in home games.

Jordan Little leads the Thorobreds' attack with 15.0 points per game – good for 13th in the SIAC.Â
Little also sits sixth in the league in field-goal percentage, converting 55.1 percent of his shots.
FROM DOWNTOWN:Â The game features the top two three-point defensive teams in the conference. Miles leads the way, holding opponents to 25.7 percent from beyond the arc. The Thorobreds are second in the league, allowing teams to make just 30.7 percent.
Miles is the best three-point shooting team in the SIAC, making 38 percent of its attempts.
Junior guard
 Kevin Wharton-Price leads the Thorobreds with 57 three-pointers made (2.6 per game) – good for sixth in the SIAC. He is also sixth in three-point percentage (39.9 percent).

Shaq Athie are amongst the SIAC leaders in rebounding.Â
Athie is third in the SIAC with 8.5 rebounds per game, with the vast majority coming on the defensive end. He is also second in the SIAC in defensive rebounding averaging 6.8 per game.Â
Little is fourth in the SIAC with 8.3 rebounds per game and is second in the league in offensive rebounding.Â
Athie has eclipsed double-digit rebounds seven times this year. He also leads Kentucky State in assists (58) and steals (34).
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS:Â Miles College, the reigning Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions, comes into the game leading the western division of the SIAC. The 18-3 record is the best mark in the conference.
The Golden Bears are ranked fourth in the D2SIDA South Regional poll.
MC cuts its teeth on the defensive end as the Golden Bears limit opponents to 58.0 points per game. They lead the conference by almost nine points per game. Thanks to their defensive prowess, Miles is outscoring teams by 11.4 points per game.
Avery Brown leads the team in scoring (18.0 ppg), assists (60) and steals (31). Jelani Watson-Gayle is second on the 14.6 points per game. He has made a team-high 64 three pointers.
