Bradlee Lewis combined for 36 points, but the Kentucky State University men's basketball team fell to Spring Hill Monday, 78-61, in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at the William Exum Center.
Kentucky State (8-14 overall, 5-10 SIAC) hosts LeMoyne-Owen College 3 p.m. Saturday.
TURNING POINT
Moments after a 15-3 run that pulled Kentucky State to within five points early in the second half, the Thorobreds committed five straight turnovers as Spring Hill rebuilt its double-figure lead.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
Athie finished with 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting with five rebounds, a team-high three assists and one steal. Lewis also scored 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Senior
Jordan Little (Jersey City, N.J.) pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and had a team-high two blocks.

"The guys that played hard and got us back into the game, they got tired," said Kentucky State University head coach
Jamaal Jackson. "We had to bring a couple guys off the bench, and there is a reason they come off the bench, they don't give the same effort that the starters give."
