GAME PREVIEW: Spring Hill College

SCOUTING THE BADGERS: Coming off a 72-57 road loss to Lane College, Spring Hill enters the contest in third place of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (SIAC) West Division. The Badgers have lost two of their last three, bringing them to a 4-5 record at home this season. Spring Hill ranks top three in the SIAC in free throw, field goal and three-point percentage. In addition, the Badgers lead the conference in assists at 15.4 per game.

Tiffany Valentine is the team's top threat, leading the team in scoring (16.5 ppg) – good for third in the SIAC – field-goal percentage (62 percent) and blocked shots (12). She is second on the team in rebounding (7.5 rpg) and minutes played (25.7 mpg).

Elise Reilly is the team's three-point threat, leading her team and the SIAC with 59 shots from downtown. She is second on the team in points (12.7 ppg), first in minutes played (30.4 mpg) and assists (63).

Katie Krout leads the team in rebounds, tallying 145 on the season – good for ninth in the SIAC.
 
LAST CHANCE STRUGGLES:  The Kentucky State women's basketball enters on a two-game losing streak. The Thorobreds had the ball with a chance to win both games. Kentucky State has had the last possession with the chance to win or tie seven times this year.

REBOUNDING: Kentucky State is fourth in rebounding margin at plus 6.1 and sit second in the SIAC in defensive rebounding. Spring Hill ranks sixth in rebounding margin (plus 0.8) and third in rebounding defense.

 EFFICIENCY: Kentucky State has three players averaging double figures with senior forward with Victoria Blankenship (13.0 ppg) leading the way. Blankenship is ranked sixth in the conference in field-goal percentage, converting 51 percent (80-of-157) from the floor. She also leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game. Kentucky State is third in the league in field goal percentage – converting 39.6 percent.

FROM DEEP: Kentucky State leads the conference in three-point shooting, making 31.5 percent from long range. Senior Amani Williams leads the team, making 37.5 percent (15-of-40), while senior Carnethia Brown (32.1 percent), junior Khaliah Herbert (32.5 percent), and sophomore Deja Antoine (33.3 percent) are converting higher than the team average. Brown leads the Thorobreds with 34 three-pointers made.

EVERY ONE: Senior guard Carnethia Brown is the only player to have started all 17 games of the season. She is second on the team with 10.8 points, and her 34 three-pointers put her top-five in three-point scoring in the SIAC.
