SCOUTING THE DRAGONS: Lane College comes to the Exum Center looking for its second victory in three road games after starting the season with five straight road losses. The Dragons are coming off an 84-65 loss to Christian Brothers, in which guard Ray White came off the bench for a team-high 15 points.
Two Dragons - Tyler Henry (15.9) and Daniel Hill (12.5) - are averaging double figures in scoring with Henry also leading the team with 4.2 rebounds. He is the only player with double-figure starts for LC as 12 different players have started this season. Hill leads the Dragons with 33 assists.
PROLIFIC OFFENSE: Kentucky State is third in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in scoring offense with 75.7 points per game. The Thorobreds have scored at least 70 points in 11 of their 16 games, including going over 100 twice. Kentucky State is 0-8 on the year when held to under 75 points.
FREE THROWS: Kentucky State is currently 14th in the conference in free throw shooting, converting just 59.1 percent (205-of-347) from the charity stripe.
FROM DOWNTOWN: Kentucky State leads the conference in defensive three-point percentage with 26.3 percent (82-of-312). Lane is currently seventh in three-point defensive percentage with a mark of 31.9 percent (111-of-351).
HITTING THE GLASS: Seniors
Jordan Little and
Shaq Athie are amongst the SIAC leaders in rebounding. Athie is third with 8.8 rebounds with the vast majority coming on the defensive end as he is second in the SIAC in defensive rebounding. Little is fourth with 8.5 rebounds, and is second in the league in offensive rebounding.
TAKING CARE OF THE BALL: The two teams are currently ranked 11th and 12th in the SIAC in assist to turnover ratio.
DENIED: It's truly a team effort for the Thorobreds as Kentucky State is second in the conference in blocked shots. However, two of the top four shot blockers are not available.
