Six transfers highlight seven-member class

Kentucky State University head coach Jamaal Jackson announces his new seven-member signing class that features three Division I transfers and six transfers total.

"After losing more than 75% of our offensive output, we knew that we had our work cut out for us in not only replacing that production, but improving upon where we had been," said Kentucky State University head coach Jamaal Jackson. "Our staff worked rigorously in identifying prospects, building and maintaining relationships, and ultimately signing a class that we are very pleased with. These guys are not only talented ball players, but they are great young men. I'm very eager to get these guys on campus, along with our returning players, so that we can get to work."

The Thorobreds must replace their top four scorers, including all conference selections Ditalion Battle and Kevin Hayes. Senior Grant Goode (Matawan, N.J.) is the top returning scorer with 7.4 points, while graduate Felix Wilson (Lexington, Ky.) is the only returning starter.

Kentucky State opens the season with an exhibition game against the University of Kentucky 7 p.m. November 1.
