The Kentucky State University women's basketball team begins its final march through Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play 6:30 p.m. EST Monday, traveling to Spring Hill College.

THE TEAMS: Kentucky State (10-10 overall, 4-8 SIAC) are in seventh place in the West Division, but are only two games back of third place Lane. However, the Dragons would hold the tiebreaker.
Spring Hill (10-11 overall, 6-6) is coming off a thrilling 62-60 win over Central State on a basket with three seconds remaining. It was a much needed win as the Badgers had one win in their last five games.
THE COACHES:
Terrance Slater is in his third season as the head coach, and fifth season with the program. He led Kentucky State to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals a season ago. He was an assistant the last time KSU advanced to the SIAC title game.
Karen McConico is in her seventh season as the head coach at Spring Hill College. She led the Badgers to their first winning season in 10 years in 2014-15 with a 14-12 overall record and an 11-7 mark in their first season as a member of NCAA Division II and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
THE LAST MEETING: Four players reached double figures, two of which tallied double-doubles, as the Kentucky State University women's basketball team recorded the 73-58 victory over Spring Hill on January 22 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at the William Exum Center.

Kiante Butts recorded career-highs with 19 points and 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Senior
Brooke Wallace brought home her 11th double-double of the season, and her third straight, with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Jessie Kee added 12 points and seven boards, while junior
Allenia Ponder had a career-high 10 points and a career-best eight steals.
THE PLAYERS: Senior
Brooke Wallace returned to the court after missing two games, and recorded just the second triple-double in school history with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals. She is one of three players in the SIAC averaging a double-double with 13.0 points and 10.5 rebounds, both team-highs.
Two other players are averaging double figures in scoring. Sophomore
Erica Jones is second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding with 11.6 points and 6.2 boards, although she is out with an injury. Junior
Jessie Kee, who is coming off back-to-back double-doubles, is third in scoring with 10.7 points per contest.
Junior
Amani Williams leads the team with 78 assists and is third in the SIAC with 3.7 assists per game.

Redshirt junior Tiffany Valentine leads the Badgers with 21 points and 8.6 rebounds, while shooting 55.2 percent from the field. Her shooting percentage is third in the SIAC. Kate Trout is second on the team with 10.3 points per game and with 7.8 rebounds.
