The Kentucky State University women's basketball team continues their second swing through the bunched up West Division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 5:30 p.m. Monday. Six of the seven SIAC West teams are separated by three games.

THE TEAMS: Kentucky State (10-9 overall, 4-7 SIAC) is coming off a 55-41 loss to Lane as the Thorobreds played with six players, and without their top two scorers.
LeMoyne-Owen (11-9 overall, 8-4 SIAC) has won seven of the last eight games, including three straight, following a 93-88 overtime victory over Central State.
 THE COACHES:
Terrance Slater is in his third season as the head coach, and fifth season with the program. He led Kentucky State to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals a season ago. He was an assistant the last time KSU advanced to the SIAC title game.
Antony Partee is the head coach at LeMoyne-Owen. A Chicago, IL, native, Partee is a former athlete who brings more than 10 years of coaching experience to LOC. Prior to joining the LOC family, he served as the assistant women's basketball coach for eight years at Robert Morris University. He also served as the coordinator of basketball operations at the University of Illinois at Chicago for three years, while working at Robert Morris.
THE LAST MEETING: Junior
Kiante Butts enjoyed her voyage back home as the forward put up career highs as the Kentucky State University women's basketball team picked up their first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory with a 62-39 win over LeMoyne-Owen on December 3.
Butts was constant force on the glass and offensively with her first double-double of the season. The Memphis product finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in the victory. Additionally, she posted a plus/minus of plus-27, meaning KSU was 27 points better than the Magicians in her 34 minutes on the court.
Three other players reached double figures in the victory, led by senior
Brooke Wallace – who tallied 18 points with seven boards. Junior
Jessie Kee added 11 points, seven boards and two assists, while sophomore
Erica Jones registered 10 points.
THE PLAYERS: Senior
Brooke Wallace is expected to return to the lineup after missing Saturday's loss to Lane College. Wallace has 10 double-doubles on the season, including three straight. She leads the Thorobreds with 12.4 points and 10.5 rebounds.
Two other players are averaging double figures in scoring. Sophomore
Erica Jones is second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding with 11.6 points and 6.2 boards, although she is out with an injury. Junior
Jessie Kee is third in scoring with 10.2 points per contest.
Junior
Amani Williams leads the team with 70 assists and is third in the SIAC with 3.7 assists per game.
LOC senior guard Dana Gettis is second in the SIAC with 20.4 points per game, and is taking twice as many shots (269) as the next teammate, Lamontazia Blair (135). Blair is second on the team with 11.4 points, Averyale Joy is adding 11.4 points. Joy is the team's top three-point threat, attempting a team-high 79 three's and hitting a team-high 39.2 percent.
