The Kentucky State University men's basketball team continues their second trip through the West Division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as the Thorobreds host LeMoyne-Owen College 7:30 p.m. Monday.

THE TEAMS: Kentucky State (7-13 overall, 5-7 SIAC) is currently fifth in the West Division of the SIAC, three games behind Lane College and LeMoyne-Owen College.
LeMoyne-Owen (14-7 overall, 9-4 SIAC) is on a five-game winning streak after knocking off Central State Saturday, 78-69.
THE COACHES:
Jamaal Jackson is in his third season at the helm of his alma mater. Kentucky State has been one of the top scoring teams in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference under Jackson. He came to KSU following a stint at Bluefield State College, where he led them to increased win totals in every season. The same can be said about his tenure at Stillman, where the Tigers improved upon their win totals.
William Anderson is the men's basketball coach at LeMoyne-Owen College. Anderson is a native of Memphis and was a standout basketball forward at LeMoyne-Owen College, while earning his bachelor's degree in Social Science. From 2000-2009, Anderson was the women's basketball coach as well as the men's and women's tennis coach at LeMoyne-Owen College
THE LAST MEETING: The Kentucky State University men's basketball team trailed less than two of the game's 40 minutes, and by no more than one point, in surviving a last second shot to beat LeMoyne-Owen, 91-90, on December 3 within the confines of a hostile Bruce-Johnson Hall in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Grant Goode – all tallied at least 10 points. Wilson finished with a season-high 18 points, while for the first time this season, Hayes – who had 16 points – wasn't the leading scorer. Hayes distributed a team-high four assists, and Goode added 10 points.
THE PLAYERS: Kentucky State boasts two of the top four scorers in the SIAC as senior
Kevin Hayes leads the conference with 17.7 points and senior
Ditalion Battle is fourth with 17.4 points. Hayes has scored double figures in all but one game, and reached the 20-point plateau nine times this season.
Battle has scored at least 20 points in nine of the last 12 games, and is averaging 21.4 points in those games. He leads the 'Breds with 64 assists and is third on the team with 4.8 boards. The Cincinnati native is also fifth in the SIAC in assist to turnover margin.
Devin Booker is leading the team with 13.9 points on the season, while Jerry Hurt is dropping in 12.9 points. Nearly half of Hurts field goal attempts are three pointers. Tory Mason is leading the team with 6.4 rebounds and Tyrone Banks is dishing out a team-high 53 assists.
