The Kentucky State women's basketball team begins the second swing through the bunched up West Division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 1 p.m. Saturday. Six of the seven SIAC West teams are separated by two games.
THE TEAMS: Kentucky State (10-8 overall, 4-6 SIAC) has won two consecutive SIAC games following its 73-58 home victory over Spring Hill Monday.
Lane (6-13 overall, 5-5 SIAC) has lost eight of their last 10 games, including a stretch in which they lost six consecutive. The Dragons is coming off a 45-40 loss to Tuskegee Monday.
 
THE COACHES: 
Terrance Slater is in his third season as the head coach, and fifth season with the program. He led Kentucky State to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals a season ago. He was an assistant the last time KSU advanced to the SIAC title game.
 
Kimberly Anderson is in her third season as the head coach of the Dragons.
THE PLAYERS: Senior 
Brooke Wallace is coming off her 10th double-double of the season, and third straight, with 15 points and 16 rebounds in the victory over Spring Hill. She leads the Thorobreds with 12.4 points and 10.5 rebounds.
Two other players are averaging double figures in scoring. Sophomore 
Erica Jones is second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding with 11.6 points and 6.2 boards, although she missed the contest against SHC. Junior 
Jessie Kee is third in scoring with 10.2 points per contest.
Junior 
Amani Williams leads the team with 66 assists and is third in the SIAC with 3.7 assists per game.
Senior guard Antrice McCoy is the lone Dragon scoring more than 10 points with 10.4 per game, while redshirt senior guard Addie McNeely is averaging 9.9 points. Redshirt sophomore Porche' Hannah, who grabbed 20 rebounds in Lane's victory over KSU earlier this season, is leading the team with 9.1 rebounds and 60 blocks.
