Two Kentucky State University players registered double-doubles, but the Thorobreds fell to Salem University Thursday, 91-82, in non-conference action at the William Exum Center.

Austin Sherrell (Detroit, MI) achieved the feat for the second straight game with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while senior
David Jelks (Conyers, GA) added 14 points and a season-high 15 rebounds.

Ditalion Battle (Cincinnati, OH) led the team with 21 points, six assists, six rebounds and two steals. Senior
Kevin Hayes (Detroit, MI) was the fourth KSU player in double figures with 13 points.
Kentucky State (7-12 overall) returns to action 3 p.m. Saturday, hosting Lane in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
