WATCH

THE TEAMS: Kentucky State (8-7 overall, 2-5 SIAC) have lost back-to-back games after recording a season-high five-game winning streak. The Thorobreds are 1-6 on the road, including 1-5 in SIAC games. KSU is third in the SIAC with a scoring margin of plus-3.3.

Tuskegee (9-4 overall, 5-1 SIAC) holds a half-game lead over regionally-ranked Miles for first place in the West Division. The Golden Tigers are coming off a 66-62 victory over Paine Monday.

The game pits the second best team in field goal percent offense (Kentucky State) against the best team in field goal percentage defense (Tuskegee).

THE COACHES: Terrance Slater is in his third season as the head coach, and fifth season with the program. He led Kentucky State to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals a season ago. He was an assistant the last time KSU advanced to the SIAC title game.

Trelanne Moore-Powell is in her first season as the Tuskegee head coach, taking over the Golden Tigers after a three year stint as the assistant coach at Division I Mercer University.

THE PLAYERS: Kentucky State has three players averaging double figures, led by senior Brooke Wallace – who leads the 'Breds with 12.3 points and 9.5 rebounds. She was held to 7.5 points and three rebounds in the team's most recent two-game SIAC road trip. Wallace recently pulled down her 500th career rebound, and stands at 508 boards.

Sophomore Erica Jones is the top scorer over the last four games with 19.8 points per game. The scoring spree has added three points to her season scoring average. The forward is third on the team with 6.3 rebounds. Junior Jessie Kee, the reigning SIAC Newcomer of the Week, is third on the team with 10.3 points and fourth with 5.1 boards.

Junior Amani Williams leads the conference with 60 total assists and is second with 4.4 assists per game.

Tuskegee could be without the services of leading scoring Alexis Carter, who hasn't played in the last four games. The 6-2 senior forward is scoring 18.1 points with 13.9 boards and a team-high 29 blocks. Jade Wilson is second on the team with 10.4 points, but has scored 15.8 points in the last four games. Both of her double-figure rebounding performances have come in the last four games, and she is pulling down 6.9 boards in the season.

Guard India Blakley is the top shooting threat, hitting a team-high 32 percent from three-point range and has dished out a team-high 60 assists.
