Box Score TUSKEGEE, AL – The Kentucky State University football team was held to 73 yards of total offense as the Thorobreds fell to Tuskegee Saturday at Alumni Field, 37-0, in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

KSU had its best scoring opportunity in the second quarter following a Xavier Johnson (Lexington, KY) interception at the Tuskegee 25. However, the offense didn't get any closer and the 42-yard field goal attempt was blocked. The interception halted a stretch in which the Golden Tigers scored on three straight possessions.

After gaining possession following the blocked field goal, Tuskegee scored its fourth touchdown of the half – taking a 28-0 lead into the break.

Tuskegee pushed its advantage to 35-0 with a touchdown on the first drive of the third quarter and added a safety as a blocked punt went through the back of the end zone.
Sophomore quarterback Jules St. Ge (Lakeland, FL) was 8-of-15 passing for 12 yards with two interceptions and he was sacked twice. Junior James Clark (Paris, KY) had two receptions for 17 yards.

Sophomore running back Michael Nero (Louisville, KY) finished with 34 yards on seven attempts, while St. Ge added 21 yards on 11 attempts.

Junior Hakeem Adebimpe (Chicago, IL) led the team with 12 tackles and two forced fumbles, while sophomore Zuriel Rudolph (Birmingham, AL) added nine tackles, a half tackle for loss and a forced fumble.

Kentucky State (0-8 overall, 0-4 SIAC) will participate in the inaugural F.E. Whitney Classic 2 p.m. Saturday in Hopkinsville, facing the Lane College Dragons.
