Ray Croon combined for 42 points as Kentucky State University men's basketball fell to LeMoyne Owen College on Monday night at Bruce Johnson Hall.

The Thorobreds (6-15, 5-9) have dropped their last three games, after winning three in a row, putting them in a tie for at No. 4 spot in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference west division at 3-4. The Magicians (8-13, 4-10) moved into a tie with the Thorobreds with the win, as they've won two of their last three games.

The rims in Memphis were not kind to the visiting Thorobreds in the first half putting them in a deep hole. As the two squads worked to a 13-13 tie with over 13 minutes to go till the half, LOC put together a string of buckets as KSU went cold from the floor. For nearly seven minutes action the Magicians went on a 24-2 run for a 37-15 lead. KSU finished the first half shooting just 27 percent from the floor and 10 percent from beyond the arc.

LOC built on its lead in the second half, even though KSU shot better than 54 percent through the final 20 minutes. The charity stripe wasn't kind to the green and gold either as they went 14-of-27 for just 52 percent, as LOC combined for 13-of-17 from the line for just over 76 percent.

Both Jordan and Croon scored a team-high 21 points, with Jordan adding a team-high six assists and Croon swiping eight rebounds. Junior guard
Ditalion Battle bounced back from a tough night at Lane College on Saturday scoring just two points, as he picked up 18 points against LOC.
