Box Score Mobile, Ala.- Kentucky State women's basketball had its three-game win streak come to an end on Saturday in a loss on the road to Spring Hill College, 79-62 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Thorobrettes (6-12, 6-5) sit behind the Badgers in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division Standings as they're currently the No. 3 seed with a 3-2 record. The Badgers (12-6, 6-3) remain undefeated against west division opponents and are tied atop the standings with Central State University at 4-0.

KSU struggled throughout the afternoon, trailing but double digits through majority of the contest, after falling behind in the first quarter 23-13. The green and gold made a push in the latter part of the third quarter, pulling within eight, 54-46 after a made three-point bucket by freshman guard Wynter Webb with five seconds left in the frame.

In the opening minute of the fourth quarter KSU inched closer at 56-50, but SHC began to pull away shortly after putting together a 20-3 run over the next seven minutes to close the game out.

Junior forward Jordan Campbell scored a career-high 18 points, while recording 36 minutes of action from the bench. The Montgomery, Illinois native went 7-of-13 from the floor, 4-of-6 from the free throw line and pulled down five rebounds in the process. Webb also registered a career-high in points with 16, notching her third game of the season of double-digit scoring.

Terrance Slater was not present on the bench as he missed the game due to an undisclosed injury. Assistant coach
Latear Eason led the Thorobrettes for the first-time in career as the stand-in head coach. Eason, a graduate of Louisiana State University, is in her second season with the KSU program, and served three seasons as an assistant at LeMoyne-Owen College.

KSU will play in its final non-conference game of the season with a trip to Oakland City, Indiana to take on Oakland City University on Tuesday at 7 pm ET.
