Jackson, Tenn.—Kentucky State University women's basketball fell at Lane College on Thursday night 60-47 at the J.F. Lane Gymnasium.

The Thorobrettes (10-13, 6-8) wrapped up the road portion of their SIAC schedule with the loss and won't leave the friendly confines of the Capitol City till the start of the SIAC tournament on Feb 27. The Lady Dragons (10-14, 9-6) have won three straight and cap off their season with a game against at home against Philander Smith College and on the road at Spring Hill College.

"We played a solid first half, but we didn't play with the same intensity in the second half," said head coach
Terrance Slater. "We can't do that on the road against a good team."

KSU controlled the tempo and kept LC in check through the first half, taking a 28-23 lead into the locker room at the half. But it was a 15-6 run through the third quarter that grabbed the lead for the hosting Lady Dragons, as the Thorobrettes failed to mount a comeback.

Sophomore center
Brooke Wallace was the consistent spark throughout the night for the Thorobrettes' offense. The 6'2 inside threat went 7-of-9 from the floor for a team-high 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the process.

KSU will host LeMoyne-Owen College on Saturday at the Exum Center with tipoff slated for 1 p.m. ET. Â
