Frankfort, Ky. – Kentucky State women's basketball defeated SIAC opponent Miles College 82-60 on Monday night at the Exum Center.
The Thorobrettes (7-8, 4-4 SIAC) were led by junior guard
Brooklyn Sharpey as she registered the first triple-double of the season for KSU. The Hazard, Kentucky native notched 11 points, 10 boards, and 10 assists.
Sophomore center
Brooke Wallace recorded a double-double for KSU, scoring 16 points to go with her season-high 14 rebounds, both game-highs.
KSU was lights-out from the floor in the first quarter, making 8-of-14 attempts and three-of-five from behind the arc to take an early 27-8 lead into the second quarter.

The home squad commanded the remainder of the contest, outscoring the Lady Bears 40-32 en route to their seventh win of the season.
The defense anchored KSU, forcing 20 turnovers and out rebounded the Lady Bears 49-35.
KSU will hit the road as they square off against SIAC rival Central State University Saturday evening for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
