Frankfort, Ky.—Kentucky State University women's basketball picked up a 61-55 victory over Tuskegee University on Saturday afternoon at the Exum Center.
The Thorobrettes (6-8, 3-4) notched their third victory in four games and began SIAC divisional play at 1-0. The Tigerettes (5-10, 1-5) have lost five in a row dating back to Jan. 2.

Brittani Rizzi led the way for KSU, scoring 19 points and hitting four-of-six from beyond the three-point line. Sophomore forward
Brooke Wallace added 10 points and seven rebounds, coming off the bench for the Thorobrettes.
KSU will return to action on Jan. 16 for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with Miles College at the Exum Center.
