The Thorobreds (5-9, 4-3) enter Saturday's contest with the Golden Tigers on a three-game winning streak. During the stretch, the SIAC's No. 1 scoring offense averaged a little over 100 points per game against Fort Valley State University, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta.

Leading the way for KSU during the streak has been the guard trio of senior Malcolm Smith, junior Reggie Breeden, and junior Dorian Jordan. Smith leads the conference in scoring with 19.5 points per game, including a season-high 34 point performance against FVSU to help get the winning streak started for the Thorobreds. Smith enters the weekend at 951 career points, just 49 points shy of joining the 1,000-point club.
Â
Breeden is currently on the most impressive streak of his college career, averaging 27 points over the last three games. His back-to-back performances of 24 points against Morehouse and 33 points against Clark Atlanta, landed the Louisville, Kentucky native his first SIAC player of the week honor of the 2016-17 season.

Before the winning streak, Jordan only claimed one double-double this season, but over the last three games he has recorded double-digit points and assists in two of the three contest. He leads the SIAC with seven assists per game, the next closes to him at No. 2 is Christopher Spencer of Benedict College, averaging four and a half assists per game. Jordan is only six assists shy of 100, and when he reaches the accomplishment, he'll have recorded his second straight season of 100 assists.
