Williamsburg, Ky.—Kentucky State University men's basketball came up short to the University of the Cumberlands, 84-63, in an exhibition contest on Tuesday night in the Wayne Rollins Center.
The Thorobreds (2-5) put an end to a four-game road stretch and will head back to the Capitol City for a contest on Saturday afternoon. The Patriots (10-3) picked up their second win of the season against the Thorobeds and have won eight of their last 10 games.

Dorian Jordan set the pace for KSU with a team-high 21 points and five assists. Senior forward
Julius Barton added 17 points, marking the fifth straight game he has accumulated double-digit scoring.
Marquis Yates scored a game-high 22 points for UC and pulled down six rebounds. The Patriots won the battle of the boards, 42-25, and outscored KSU in the paint 36-26.
KSU will host Lindsey Wilson College at the Exum Center on Saturday afternoon at 2 ET. It will be the first home contest for the Thorobreds since Nov. 26.
