BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Kentucky State women's basketball team is preparing for their quarterfinal round game against the Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers at the SIAC Basketball Championship Tournament being held at the Bill Harris Arena. The teams are set to square off on Thursday Mar. 6th, with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (CT).
 
#2W Kentucky State will be playing in their first game of the tournament after earning a first round bye while #3E Clark Atlanta will technically be competing in their second game of the tournament. The Lady Panthers were matched up with #6W Lane College but the Lady Dragons forfeited the game due to their inability to travel to the tournament due to inclement weather.
 
The teams met once earlier this season in Frankfort, Ky. when the Lady Panthers defeated the Thorobrettes, 75-58. The game was in the middle of a seven-game losing streak that KSU endured to begin SIAC play. The Thorobrettes went 7-2 in SIAC action after that initial slide to finish with a 7-9 conference record and earn the second seed out of the SIAC West Division.
