KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Miracle Woods scored a game-high 16 points off the bench to help lead Division I program Western Michigan to a 70-45 exhibition win over Kentucky State on Tuesday night at University Arena.
The Broncos (4-1) shot a scorching 51 percent from the floor as a team while holding the Thorobrettes (3-2) to just 25 percent.

For the Broncos, 6-foot-2 starting forward Jessica Jessing finished the contest with 15 points and five rebounds. In addition to leading a WMU bench that outscored the starters 36-34, Woods added eight rebounds, all on the defensive end. Starting forward Michelle O'Brien grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
Kentucky State now has a few weeks off before traveling to Bluefield, W.Va. for the Bluefield State College Classic on Dec. 19-20. The Thorobrettes will take on host school Bluefield State on Friday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. before wrapping up the Classic with a matchup against West Virginia Tech on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.Â
