Thorobred's Come Away With Lopsided Victory Against Lane College, 111-80

Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Thorobreds scored early on their way to a 111-80 victory over the Lane College Dragons on Saturday afternoon. Seven players scored eight or more points for the Thorobreds who used 67 second half points to outpace Lane at the Exum Center.
 
With the conference victory Kentucky State moves to 11-11 overall and 8-6 in SIAC play.
 
Lane College drops to 7-14 overall and 4-10 in SIAC action with the loss.
 
Junior guard Troy Adams paced the Thorobreds offensively with a team high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor. Darquell Pulliam had the stat line of the night tallying 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block in 33 minutes on the floor. Freshman guard Quentin Henderson went 9-of-13 from the free-throw line to help extend the Thorobreds lead at the end of the game.
 
Lane College was led offensively by Nolen Sha'Mar who finished with 22 points. Lane College was plagued by fouls throughout the game tallying 30 personal fouls during the contest.
 
KSU will have some time off before they play Tuskegee University this Thursday at the Exum Center in Frankfort, Ky. The men's game tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The night marks Kentucky State's annual “Pink Game” which is a part of the Play 4 Kay initiative aimed at bringing awareness and funds to breast cancer research.
