Lavell Meeks serves as wide receivers coach at Kentucky State University.

Meeks helped Kentucky State produce two All-SIAC wide receivers during the Thorobreds' historic 2025 season. Darius Cyprian earned first-team All-SIAC honors, while Jon McCall was named to the second team.

Cyprian highlighted the season with a 254-yard performance against Clark Atlanta that included an 81-yard touchdown reception. McCall also ranked among the SIAC's top receivers and helped power a passing attack that produced 2,893 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Kentucky State finished 9-3 overall, went 7-1 in SIAC play and earned its first NCAA Division II playoff appearance.
