Gabriela Garcia enters her first season as an assistant softball coach at Kentucky State following an accomplished collegiate playing career that included stops at Eastern Florida State College, Wiley University, Talladega College and Miles College.

Garcia completed her playing career as a graduate student at Miles, earning second-team All-SIAC honors during her lone season with the Golden Bears. She batted .416 with 62 hits, 22 doubles, seven home runs and 37 RBIs while recording a 1.168 OPS. A standout shortstop, Garcia also posted a .950 fielding percentage.

Garcia brings extensive collegiate playing experience, a strong knowledge of the game and a passion for helping student-athletes develop on and off the field as she begins her coaching career.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Talladega College.
