WILBERFORCE, Ohio – Kentucky State cross country opened its season with three top-10 finishes at the Wilberforce Bulldogs Open.
Laila Jackson led the women's team, placing fifth with a time of 23 minutes, 34.34 seconds.
Tahja Mims also earned a top-10 finish, crossing the line in 28:41.85 to place 10th.
On the men's side,
Darris Ivy paced the Thorobreds with a fourth-place finish in 18:23.12.
The Thorobreds will continue their season Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Mike and Mary Johnson Classic in Berea, Kentucky.
