FRANKFORT, Ky. – Following a standout 2025 season at wide receiver, Kentucky State's Darius Cyprian has been named a BOXTOROW 2026 HBCU College Football Preseason All-American.

Cyprian is the only student-athlete from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selected to the BOXTOROW Preseason All-America Team. The national recognition comes after he was named a First-Team Preseason All-SIAC wide receiver for the 2026 season.

The Kentucky State standout earned the preseason All-America honor after recording 42 receptions for 903 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games in 2025. He averaged 21.5 yards per reception and led the Thorobreds in receiving yards.

Cyprian also recorded 89 kickoff return yards and finished the season with 990 all-purpose yards. His 903 receiving yards rank third in Kentucky State's recorded single-season history since 1990, while his eight receiving touchdowns are tied for one of the program's top single-season totals during that span.

He was also named to the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team, which recognizes student-athletes for leadership, academic performance and football ability.

Cyprian enters the 2026 season as a BOXTOROW Preseason All-American, one of the top receiving threats in HBCU football and a key returner for the Thorobreds.
