ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has named Senior Tayler Floyd as Softball Player of the Week. 
 
Floyd opened the series at LeMoyne-Owen with a career-high of three home runs. During the series she recorded nine RBIs, eight runs and seven hits that included two triples and three home runs. Her performance improved her to a .348 batting average on the season. 
 
Weather permitting Floyd and Kentucky State softball will open their home schedule tomorrow Wednesday, March 5 in a doubleheader against Union (Ky.) beginning at 3:00 p.m. inside State Stadium.
