FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State Softball finishes strong despite rain to take game three 6-4 to secure the series win Sunday.

Tayler Floyd doubled into center field to send home
Andralyn Brown to put the Thorobreds at a 1-0 lead in the third inning.
In the fourth inning Lane tied the game and took a 3-1 lead with a pair of homeruns. Kentucky State responded as a Lane Error put
Regan Dudley on base and sent
Savannah Teale across home plate to bring the Thorobreds to within one of the Dragons 3-2 lead.
Lane scored their final run of the contest at the top of the fourth inning. The Thorobreds would begin to fight back as
Aaliyah Long hit a single to bring in Brown and close on the Dragons 4-3 lead.
As the rain continued to come down the Dragons pitching began to struggle as Brown was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring
Kayla West home for the tying run. Both
Makayla Coffey and Taylor Floyd were walked with the bases loaded that brought in both
Lisuanet Flores and
Laila Troxler to put the Thorobreds ahead 6-4. Umpires would call the game following the final run to secure the victory for Kentucky State.
ON DECK
The Thorobreds will remain at home has they host Cedarville in doubleheader on Tuesday, March 25 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at State Stadium.
