FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State Baseball fell 11-1 to Brescia in their non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bearcats began their scoring run with three runs in the third inning and were able to turn their 11 hits into an 11-1 win over the Thorobreds.
Cedric Poelnitz scored the only run for the Thorobreds as
Preston Jones was walked with the bases loaded in the ninth inning.
Five pitchers from Brescia saw the mound where they struck out 14 Thorobreds. This effort was led by Dylan Warda with five strikeouts while allowing no runs or hits.
ON DECK
The Thorobreds will head to Mobile, Alabama March 22-23 for conference series at Spring Hill, set to begin with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
